Mission Writeup Feast of Epiphany 2015


Harmony had the duty today to assist local Law Enforcement at the Feast of the Epiphany at Spring Bayou, Tarpon Springs. This is annual event conducted by the Greek community of Tarpon Springs. It is presided over by the Arch Bishop St.Nicholas Cathedral , Tarpon Springs.

Harmony crew, Tom Loughlin, coxswain, crew Parks Honeywell, Bob Priore 11-9, Walter Murray  & Dick Dubois (trainee). The weather was clear and chilly this morning prior to getting underway. Under way 0800 hrs from Anclote Harbors for rendezvous at Anclote Park with local Law Enforcement for mission briefing. Underway Anclote Park 0900hrs en-route to Spring Bayou via Anclote River.

The weather warmed up later in the morning for a beautiful day with thousands of spectators on Spring Bayou. The spectators on shore had a wonderful view of the event as well as the boats which consisted of paddle boards, kayaks and  cruisers. There weren't any incidents as the vessels adhered to the cordoned off areas.
