                                                     15 November 2014

The 2014 Touch A Truck event Palm Harbor was another huge success thanks to our FSO-PA Karen Montembeault & Carolyn Hughes (Karen's successor) whose planning and organizing of the event was just flawless. She was assisted by Rob Bonnem, Phil Fulkerson,Bud Heiser, Carolyn Hughes, Larry Johnson, Allen Leimbach, Roger Montembeault, Fred Peruche, Martha Rodriquez, Brenda Shiffer & George White along with Station Sand Key Coasties BM2 Trevor Quenneville, MK3 Brian Hukalowicz & SN Jaclyn Nafus.

The children along with their parents enjoyed touring the Coast Guard 29 Boat. Our tents which had tattoo stations
for the children along with numerous flyers promoting Boating Safety. Our members had occasion to speak directly to the public regarding Boating Safety.

Bravo Zulu
To Karen & her crew

Hello Everyone,

Thank you so very much for all your help at yesterday's Touch-a-Truck!! Everyone pitched in right from the start... from setting-up, to assisting the kids getting on
& off the boats, to tattooing, to playing the pollution game, to answering questions, to tear-down and finally...bringing everything back to our flotilla classroom.

Your enthusiasm and your fun-loving attitudes are contagious!! I couldn't ask for a better group of people to help with this event. Thank you for wearing the
uniform proudly and well, and representing the Coast Guard and our flotilla -- I was proud to stand with you.
Thank You Karen & Carolyn  for organizing another wonderful event

Another huge thank you goes to my husband, Roger Montembeault -- for all his labor of loading and unloading  -- not to mention an enormous amount of
patience for putting up with my bossiness!!

I've completed the 7030 for the event for everyone, and it's attached. Please submit your time for travel and preparation on the 7029.

When I think back to yesterday, working side-by-side with each other and the Coast Guard to bring our message to the community -- an event where the people can
"touch" and experience what the CG and the Aux is all about -- I have a big smile on my face. You give your time, your money, your spirit to this organization and
I'm overwhelmed by your generosity!!

Thank you!
Karen Montembeault
