There are 15 Spoil Islands on St.Joseph's Sound. They were created when the ICW (Intracoastal Waterway was created)
Many people picnic on the islands & some even camp overnight. As a rule the people take care to maintain but some do not
hence the need to have cleanups. There is one island, Bird Island, that is a bird sanctuary no people permitted. It is amazing
the numerous species of birds that use this island..
We had 3 vessels transporting the members and visitors...
