Navigation Class for Students
Guardian Angels Catholic School
Clearwater, Florida
07 Dec. 2016
Today was an important day for Flotilla 11-10 Dunedin, Fl. We were invited to present the math portion of Introduction to Navigation from our BS&S course by Ms Judy Deeley a member of our Flotilla and a Teacher at Guardian Angels Catholic School in Clearwater, Fl. with the approval of Ms Mary Stalzer, Principal and Assistant Principal Ms Nicole Wilson we were on our way.
Ms Deeley did her part to coordinate the schools participation and I sent out a request for a lead Instructor and several Instructor Aides.
What happened next was incredible, the response from our group of Instructors was immediate. The lead Instructor went to Doug Simpson as he was the first to respond and accepted the task and actually created a power point just for this project, Bravo Zulu Doug.
The list of Instructors below served as Aides and we were challenged to keep up with these young wiz kids !! We survived!!
Jim Ryder
Larry O’Brien
Harvey Prior
Kristi Mackey
Walt Murray
Buddy Casale
The course consisted of Lat/Lon, Compass uncorrecting, 60D ST explanation and problem solving. We are awaiting an evaluation from the Students and Teachers. First response was favorable.
My sincere thanks to all of you for a job well done and rest assure I’ll be leaning on you in the future.
